Paris Discartes University

Paris Descartes University is an internationally renowned multidisciplinary university founded in 1774. It is the second largest university in the greater Paris area, one of the most important universities in France, and among the top 200 universities in the world. With its 10 faculties and more than 100 research laboratories, Paris Descartes University is very active in fundamental and applied scientific research. It belongs to the Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) consortium of universities.

From the airport to Paris by train:

– From Charles De Gaulles (CDG) airport

From the airport you can get the RER-B train, and get off at Saint Michel-Notre Dame. Then, you have two options:
1. Take the elevator from the middle of the platform, go up to street level, and walk 10-15 minutes to the university entrance.
2. Change to metro line M4 with the same RER-B ticket, get off after two stops at Saint Germain des Prés (this involves going up/down staircases), and walk 5 minutes to the university entrance.
The total journey time is ~70min, and will cost ~12 Euros

– From Orly (ORY) airport

From the airport you can get the OrlyVal shuttle train to the Anthony station, where you change to the RER-B train, and get off at Saint Michel-Notre Dame. Then, you have two options:
1. Take the elevator from the middle of the platform, go up to street level, and walk 10-15 minutes to the university entrance.

A taxi ride will take ~70min, and will cost ~55 Euros.

You have to take a season ticket for a week (around 21.25 euros) and you can use public transportation (bus, metro, tram) as you want. No limit.

The faculty is located in the center of Paris, in the bustling Saint–Germain-des-Prés area, and a short 5 minutes walk across the river Seine from the Louvre.
